We provide a full range of services, including family planning and maternity, child health and elderly care, health promotion (including diabetes and heart disease clinics) and immunisations. The practice is also a registered Yellow Fever vaccination centre.
Practice Nursing Team
Our practice nurses and Health Care assistant may be seen by appointment for a wide variety of care e.g. minor ailments, dressings, blood pressure checks, blood tests and immunisations. They also offer health screening, Chronic Disease management, and well person checks. Please be clear what you need when you are booking your appointment, and our receptionists will make sure you see the right person. Our community phlebotomist visits the surgery once a week (Thursday morning) to take blood tests.
Our community health visitor takes an interest in the physical and mental health of all members of the family. She has detailed knowledge of the local community and is well placed to advise on a wide range of health related issues. She has specific responsibility for the care and support of families with new born babies and also carries out regular development reviews of young children. She may be contacted on 01242 251199.
Our community midwife provides ante natal and post natal care. An initial visit is made to the home at which all future planned care and screening is explained. She may be contacted on 0300 422 2318.
